REVIEW: The Force Unleashed

">Star-Wars-The-Force-Unleashed-Wii-01

Surprise! A LucasArts game has flaws!! I know, you're not that surprised.

But this is still a good game if you find yourself not too easily angered by bugs and glitches.

As you may have already heard, you start out as Darth Vader's apprentice. Your mission is to kill the remaining Jedi and to eventually fight The Emperor. Sounds like a fun adventure, but it turns into a bit of work with hoards of stormtroopers and imperial walkers constantly blocking your path.

The force powers are fun, but after a while they tend to feel cheap and you will find one thing that works well for you, and use that for the rest of the game. For me, it was force repulse. For you it might be.... force repulse.

I also found that the game had a lot of bugs. I mean a LOT!!! Almost to the point to where it's unplayable. The one time I played Gears of War and had it glitch on me once, I threw it out the window and told it never to return lest my cane find it's backside. But after playing TFU (not tofu, The Force Unleashed.) I feel that I can be a little forgiving about a game that made me reload a checkpoint, even if the game was an over hyped shooter.

Understand this: If you play TFU, you WILL get stuck, in a door or a poorly placed piece of scenery. You WILL have to fight 150+ enemies in every level. It will feel like a chore in the end. But, is it worth at least checking it out? Yes. Don't pay the $60 for a new game. Rent it, or borrow from a friend.

But, despite my review, I feel that I can give it no less than-

6/10.

I just had too much fun with it.
